But the lucky new owner won't have to worry about moving their furniture to Spain or Italy.

Amazingly, the property can be found in Monmouth, on the Welsh border.

It was once priced at an astonishing £10million, making it the most expensive home in Wales.

However, those ready to make an offer will have a comparative bargain after the price was reduced to £3.25m back in September.

The estate's vineyards are used to create award-winning wine, with a 2008 vintage claiming the 'best sparkling wine in the world' title at the 2012 Bollicine del Mondo.

But even those who prefer a pint will find much to love.

The property was first built as a Welsh long house, dating back to around 1700.

Over the years, a grand country house was built in its place.

The home, which now covers 7,000 square feet, has a snooker room and an orangery over looking the pool.

Fittingly, there's also an impressive wine cellar.

In the grounds, the owner will find a self-contained one-bed cottage and a four-bay garage, as well as a garden filled with honeysuckle, roses and palm trees.

Agents Powells say the "magnificent" house retains some original features, including marble fireplaces, wooden and tiled floors and window shutters.

"The property was bought in 1998 by the current owners, who spent six years renovating the house," they said.

"It's a wonderful family home overlooking the surrounding countryside."

The mansion isn't the only surprising property on the market at the moment.

HOUSE ABOUT THAT

A gorgeous three-bed home in a former Gothic-style chapel in Somerset is built in the middle of a graveyard.

The house, which still boasts its original arched stained-glass windows and flagstone floors, has tombstones hidden on the lawn and in flowerbeds.

At the other end of the scale is London's cheapest flat, which went under the hammer for just £20,000 this month.

But whoever won should beware. The leasehold has just over a year left - and there's no guarantee a homeowner with such a short time remaining will be able to renew it.

A Harry Potter-inspired flat is on sale for £315,000 in Edinburgh.

Every room has received a spellbinding makeover, with rooms transformed to resemble a Gryffindor dorm, a carriage on the Hogwarts Express and the grounds of the magical school.
