Monmouth House in Lymington dates back to the early 17th century.

However, it's ultra-modern inside after a huge redevelopment.

The property comes complete with a spacious cinema room, which features a projector and retractable screen.

The Grade II-listed house also has a massive games room with a TV area and space for pool and table tennis tables.

But the biggest shock of all can be spotted in photos of the living room.

The house has been kitted out with its own slide, which snakes between the first and ground floors.

The stainless steel tube slide passes through a glass floor and it's designed "for those with a sense of fun".

The unique property has five reception rooms, a fully fitted kitchen and a beautiful garden.

It also comes with a separate detached coach house with a self-contained apartment.

Not everyone will be a fan of the house, however.

Lymington's mayor Cllr James Hoare said he was pleased the building - once the former office of the clerk to local judges - had been restored.

"The outside is magnificent," he said.

"I'm not so sure about the inside.

"It's not really in keeping with the building."

Deputy mayor Andrew Gossage said the house looked like "somewhere Liam Gallagher would live" adding: "I just want to go headfirst down the slide.”

Meanwhile, a studio in the heart of London is only  £1,100 a month- but going to bed might be tricky.
