McDonald’s makes major menu change today – see the new items you can get

McDonald's has launched a major menu change with five new items available from today - including the return of an old favourite.

Maccies is bringing back the McSpicy, along with two versions of the Grand Big Mac, a cheesy side and a new McFlurry.

Those who like a bit of spice can order the McSpicy from today

The McSpicy burger features a spicy chicken breast fillet topped with crunchy lettuce and mayo in a toasted sesame-seed bun.

The item was a hit with many Maccies fans when it was up for grabs last year, and burger devotees have been demanding its return ever since.

Those looking to treat themselves to a tasty bite should expect to pay £4.29 for the McSpicy burger on its own, or £5.79 for a medium extra value meal which comes with chips and a drink.

But not everyone was impressed with the temporary addition to the menu.

When the burger was first released, some customers described it as "underwhelming" and "mild".

Other menu additions include the Grand Big Mac, Grand Big Mac with bacon, cheesy garlic bites and Flake raspberry & Flake chocolate McFlurry.

The item prices are as follows.

  • Grand Big Mac - £4.79 individually, or £6.29 for a medium extra value meal
  • Grand Big with bacon - £5.29 individually, or £6.69 for a medium extra value meal
  • Cheesy garlic bites - £1.99
  • Flake raspberry & Flake chocolate McFlurry - £1.39 for regular tub, or 99p for a mini tub

But to make room for these newbies, McDonald's told The Sun it had to axed seven items from the menu from yesterday.

These include the three burgers in the Big Tasty range - the original, the one with bacon and the BBQ option.

Other items that left the menu were the Homestyle crispy chicken, chilli cheese bites with rich tomato dip, the Cadbury caramel McFlurry and the McFlurry.

The fast food giant switches up its menus roughly every six weeks to give fans a bigger range of choice.
