Three-bed London house could be yours for £415k – but wait until you see inside

A THREE-BED family home in London has gone on the market for £415,000 - but there's a very big catch.

The property in leafy Surbiton boasts two reception rooms and gardens at both the front and back.

Even better, planning permission has already been granted for a single-storey extension and loft conversion, meaning the house could be a great investment.

But anyone who hates getting their hands dirty with DIY and gardening might prefer to skip a viewing.

That's because the semi-detached home will need plenty of work, both inside and out, before it's fit to live in.

In the kitchen, part of the ceiling appears to have fallen away and there's significant water damage to walls and counter-tops.

The bathroom is also in a bad state, with wallpaper peeling away over the bath.

But the biggest challenge of all can be found outside.

The garden is completely overgrown, with untrimmed brambles towering over the fence.

The whopping bush has also grown over a little shed, and only a small stretch of grass is visible beneath the branches.

Despite the problems, plenty of bidders will likely make an offer when the property in Hook Rise South goes under the hammer with auctioneers Allsop on May 12.

One social media user blasted the cost of the house, writing on Twitter: "House prices keep soaring.

"Fab example of a three-bed house in London with an asking price of more than £400,000.

"And look at the condition."

The tweeter would likely be horrified by the sale of a tiny garage on the market for an astonishing £1.2million.

But there's more to the outbuilding in Newcastle than meets the eye.

It comes with a full-size tennis court - and is situated in one of the city's most exclusive areas.

Meanwhile, a little two-bed home without an indoor loo or shower is available in Cornwall for an eye-watering £350,000.

But anyone turning their nose up may want to look again.

Although the chalet has just 204 feet of floor space, it's arguably in one of the UK's most stunning locations.

It was built moments from beauty spot Gwithian Sands.
