A EUROMILLIONS winner has told how he always knew he could be a millionaire - so knew exactly what to spend his cash on.

Neil Trotter, a mechanic from Coulsdon scooped a whopping £107.9m in 2014 after telling all his friends and family that he would win big.

Speaking back in 2019 he said: “Being a Trotter, I knew I’d be a millionaire one day – and I somehow knew I’d win the Lottery.

“I used to tell my dad I’d have a house with a lake, and he’d say, ‘In your dreams, son!’.

"I had such a strong feeling on the Friday that I’d win, I told the secretary at work.

“Winning allowed me to go back to my first love – racing. And I‘ve the house with a lake.”

The keen racecar fan was able to trade in his Ford Focus for the likes of a Jaguar and Porsche when he won his fortune.

And he bought a Grade II-listed mansion with its own lake set in 400 acres of land.

In an eerie premonition, he had told staff at his Dad’s office on the day of his win that “this time tomorrow" he’d be a millionaire.

Just hours later he saw his EuroMillions Lucky Dip bank him an incredible £107,932,603.20 and make him the fourth biggest lottery winner in the country at the time.

However, despite all the good the money has done he admitted he had “struggled” to cope with his wealth.

He said: "It's been a bit of a struggle, adjusting to having so much money but this is the dream, it was my dream to buy a big house with some land and a lake.

"I've always worked all my life so going from having to work to not having to work anymore was quite a strange thing to adjust to and I soon found out sitting at home watching telly all day was going to be quite boring."

It comes as Britain’s biggest-ever EuroMillions winner is yet to claim their huge £184million prize.

Yesterday's jackpot also makes the winner richer than superstar Adele, dwarfing the Someone Like You singer's £130million fortune.

And they could buy a private island with the huge winnings, including Rangyai Island off the coast of Thailand for around £130million or Cave Cay in the Bahamas for £49million.
