I’m trapped inside a ‘rotten’ hellhole home filled with rats with no heating – no one deserves to live like this
AN elderly and vulnerable woman is trapped inside a “rotting” hellhole of a home which has no heating or hot water and is filled with rates.
The squalid property in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, also doesn’t have hot water and the toilet leaks onto the staircase every time it is flushed.
Black mould covers the walls, mould covers the pink toilet which is also missing a seat and the roof leaks.
If that wasn’t bad enough she has no facilities to wash in and the widespread damp is rotting the joints.
There is also a problem with vermin.
Pictures of the hellish conditions the woman is living in have been released in a desperate bid to find a way for her home to be renovated.

Brighouse charity , which helps “people who need it most”, shared the shocking photos which it said was “one of the hardest posts they have ever had to do”.
It is hoping the pictures will highlight her plight and help find the elderly woman somewhere to live while repairs are carried out on her home.
The charity said they had found a company to do the work but needed help after all avenues were exhausted trying to find her accommodation while the renovations took place.
It said it had approached the council and health services but was struggling because the woman owned her own home.

A spokesman for the charity said: "This is one of the hardest posts we have had to do…. we are supporting a very vulnerable elderly lady who is, unfortunately, living in squalor.
“There is no running hot water, no heating, and her toilet leaks when flushed onto the stairway.
"There are no washing facilities, working kitchen, and every wall is damp. There is a leaking roof and the joints are rotten due to the damp. She has vermin."
They added: "We need your help. We have an amazing company who have agreed to renovate her house, however, we cannot find her any respite while repairs are carried out.
“We need a month respite in a small flat/bedsit that we will manage with her in order for the works to be carried out.
"We cannot let her live like this for another winter and we urgently want to improve her quality of life.
“No one deserves to live like this. Please get in contact if you can help in any way."
The charity is hoping to raise at least £1,500 to help the vulnerable woman.
Their appeal was launched three days ago on May 13 and has already raised more than £1,240 which will go towards renting her an AirBnB property while the charity tries to sort out her home.
Since the appeal was launched hundreds of people have come forward to offer their help and send their best wishes to the woman.
Grace Whitton said: "I have no money to donate but I am happy to clean out ready for contractors, decorators when needed."
