Opening hours vary, with some opening at 9am, and others staying closed until 10am or 12pm.

Opening hours for other retailers can vary from store to store, so you should always check ahead.

In the UK, main high street stores close on Christmas day but smaller outlets and petrol station shops may be open to help anyone hoping to grab a last-minute gift.

Supermarkets are closed on December 25, with Tesco and Sainsbury's reopening on Boxing Day.

However, Aldi will remain closed across the bank holiday, to allow staff to enjoy Boxing Day at home with their families.
