Said to be haunted by its military history, the stately home is up for sale for only the third time in 300 years.

Constructed in 1710, Hinwick House was built to look like Buckingham Palace at the time, earning the home its regal nickname.

'Little Buckingham Palace' boasts 50 rooms, including 12 bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as seven underground cellars and two staff flats.

The lavish residence is located on 37 acre grounds, and features a Georgian walled garden, an orchard, two lakes, a paddock, and woodland.

The main house, the Queen Anne house, is accompanied by the 'Victorian wing' as well as a Victorian wing extension.

The sale will also come with outbuildings on the estate, including garaging, stables, stores, and an 18th Century clock tower.

The new owners will also gain three additional cottages on the grounds.

Used as a school in the 1880's, the house is rumoured to have become haunted after it was used as a hospital for wounded soldiers in 1914.
