After Kylie Minogue’s rosé wine is named top seller, we test the best supermarket rivals – and the winner is a bargain
FANS of rosé wine should count themselves so lucky – as Kylie Minogue’s signature pastel fizz is now the UK’s No1-selling branded pink prosecco.
The Spinning Around singer has nine wines in her own label range. But it is the sparkling blush bottle for £9 a pop that has generated a whopping £7.7million in sales.
With the hot weather due to stay all week, now is the perfect time to be tickled pink by bubbles.
Drinks expert Helena Nicklin of Amazon Prime TV show , samples Kylie’s bestseller and other delicious fizzy rosés for less than £10 and scores them out of five.

Perfectly presented, just as pop princess herself, you can’t get a glass of this gorgeous fizz out of your head.

A brilliantly balanced, vibrant vino that’s won over seasoned critics and everyday drinkers alike with its strawberry and blossom flavours and perfect pastel hue.
All packaged in a beautiful bottle. On the pricier side when at its usual RRP of £12 but discounted at lots of the supermarkets.

A SUPER sparkling pink that isn’t quite prosecco – but it gets away with it.
This is great value frothy fizz with a deeper, more intense colour than most other Italian bubbles and a wild strawberry tang.
It comes in a bottle that screams special occasion.
If you like your pink fizz on the dry side, stick this tipple in your trolley and give it a try. A lovely gift or one to bring to a summer barbecue.

THESE pale and pretty top-value French bubbles look and taste great.
Nicely balanced – think sugar-dusted pear drops and a tart slick of saline on the palate. A little on the thin side in terms of flavours.
But still a great easy-drinking option for a gathering or if you need a fancy-looking crowd pleaser to keep everyone happy.
It also won’t break the bank if you want to get a few bottles in the fridge. Great with smoky flavours, so a top staple for any barbecue.

FRUITY and frothy, clean and simple. This is a decent drop, well made and has everything in place you want from a sparkling pink.
It is a 2020 vintage and made with white Glera grapes, then given its gorgeous pale colouring by the addition of Pinot Noir.
A good, reliable bottle of bubbles that is perfectly drinkable.
But also at the pricier end of the rosé scale and not one to set your wine world on fire. The bottle and packaging are little underwhelming too.

AN Italian wine from a Spanish company.
This fizz is made with the same grapes as pink prosecco but hails from just outside the prosecco region.
With a beautiful cut-glass bottle that, packaging-wise, really does rival Kylie’s, it would look fabulous in an ice bucket.
Light-bodied and crisp, with subtle notes of strawberry and cherry, this stylish rosé is more wine-like than prosecco on drinking. A good price.

CLASSY juice, classy bottle. M&S has found a winner with this stunning southern French blush-coloured bubbly for under a tenner.
Made with a blend of French grapes that have been ripened in the sun for more body and fruit, it is a fuller fizz but elegant and not overpowering.
Fruity and flavoursome – and tasty enough to sip on its own or accompanied by food.
Especially good paired with barbecued meat or salads.
Arestel Cava Rosado Brut £5.29, lidl.co.uk: 3/5
BOLD in colour and flavours, this rustic Spanish sparkling pink comes into its own with a bit of food, especially salty cheeses, nuts and cold cuts.
Like a lot of Spanish rosés, this is a deeper, berry-coloured fizz with more red in the mix and a fuller flavour.
Think smoky, strawberry jelly with intense notes of grilled meat.
It’s of a different style to pale pink fizzes but still very moreish. Brilliant barbie bubbles and a great price.
Organic Prosecco Rosé £8.49, aldi.co.uk: 5/5
FOR a perfect pink prosecco, you ideally want it packed full of ripe, red fruit with enough freshness to cut through those sweeter flavours.
This organic offering delivers on those counts.
