Seven shops that will give you vouchers when you recycle unwanted clothes and shoes – including M&S, H&M and Boohoo
EBAY’s sponsorship of Love Island this year means that secondhand clothes have never been hotter.
But did you know that you can also turn threads you no longer wear into vouchers and discounts for your favourite shops? It’s a move that will save you cash — and help the planet.
Here are some of the brands involved . . .
PRETTYLITTLETHING and BOOHOO: Donate your unwanted clothes to earn money off at a number of brands, including £10 off non-sale items over £50 at Boohoo.com, 20 per cent off full-price items at Prettylittlething and 20 per cent off Stacey Solomon’s collection at In the Style.
Just download the reGAIN app, choose which brand’s offer you want to use, parcel up your clothes, shoes or accessories and scan the QR code in the app when you drop them off at a nearby point to get your discount code.
Your parcel must contain at least ten items.

H&M: Hand in a full bag of unwanted clothes from any brand at the tills in the store and you can get a voucher giving you £5 off when you spend at least £25.
M&S: Donate a piece of M&S-branded clothing (exclusions include wimwear and underwear) or an item of soft furnishings to an Oxfam charity shop to earn a voucher that gets you £5 off a £35 spend on full-price items at the department store.
Or donate items from any shop to one of the M&S Shwop boxes in stores to get a freebie on the app if you are signed up to its Sparks loyalty scheme.
SCHUH: Drop your unwanted shoes off at Schuh and you can get a £5 money-off voucher to use against a full-priced new pair priced at £25 or more.
