BRITS are set to face a chain of strikes this summer as backlash occurs over industrial action.
Many mass walk-outs will happen from July as transport and essential services face wide spread pay cuts.

Post Office
114 Crown Post Offices are set to close this month.
That includes those positioned in city centres and busy areas.
Staff who are members of the are walking out on July 11 over a dispute over pay.

Rail
The largest rail strike in years is set to take place this month.
Train, tube and tram services will be running at a reduced rate on 21, 23 and 25 June.

Buses
Arriva buses in parts of Yorkshire have been stopped for good as drivers walked out last month, demanding an inflation-related pay rise.

Bus routes are not operating across Wakefield, Dewsbury, Castleford, Pontefract, Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton, Bradford, Leeds, Ossett, Batley, Morley, Rothwell, South Elmsall, Hemsworth, Huddersfield, Halifax, Doncaster, Selby, York and Goole.

Bin strikes
Another pay dispute is causing bin workers to strike across the country.
Wealden and East Sussex faced strike action for five weeks until 25 June, but now Croydon is down in the dumps until 8 July.
Over 100 bin lorry drivers, loaders and sweepers working for Veolia are demanding higher pay, with many workers earning more than £7,000 less than similar jobs in other London boroughs.

BT Broadband
BT Broadband workers are on their first national strike in 35 years.
Staff including those working for EE and Openreach signed a ballot on June 15 to go on strike over pay disputes.
The cost of living has increased demand for higher pay.
This will affect how quickly customers get broadband problems fixed as roughly 58,000 workers walk out.
“Our job is to balance the competing demands of BT Group’s stakeholders and that requires careful management, especially in a challenging economic environment,” said a spokesperson for BT.
“The result of the CWU’s ballot is a disappointment.”

Airline strikes
Despite a flurry of cancelled flights and long delays continuing right now, staff at British Airways are on strike over an overwhelming dispute over pay.
Check-in staff at Heathrow airport have decided to strike over the school holidays as more airport drama unfolds.
Staff are demanding higher wages to fight the rising cost of living.
Who else could strike?
More workers, including care home staff, traffic wardens and manufacturers could still choose to strike this summer.
Strike action is looming at St Monica's Trust, a care home in Bristol, over threats to accept pay cuts or face unemployment.
Other companies like Stafford's Saint Gobban, which produces sandpaper, are considering strikes over pay.
And watch out for ferry timetables too - Red Funnel ferries are facing disagreements over pay as well.
