MARTIN Lewis and his MoneySavingExpert team have revealed how parents can save cash over the summer holidays.
Families are feeling the pinch with soaring food, energy and fuel bills.
And with a long six week break on the horizon, parents may be worrying about how they are going to keep their kids fed and entertained.
But in the , he has shared his top three tips for cutting the cost of meals and activities.
Help with meals
If your child gets free school meals during term time, you could qualify for extra help during the school holidays.
The Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF) in England gives kids aged 4 and over at least one free meal a day and access to activities.

It is run by councils so the way you apply varies across the country.

If your child isn't eligible for free school meals, there are other ways you can save on meals.
Morrisons Café is offering a Kids Eat Free deal for dinner and lunch, while children eating at an Asda café can get a meal for £1.
Save on activities
Martin says there are lots of cheap days out, including free tennis coaching and Disney drawing, for children to take advantage of.
Cineworld's Movies for Juniors allows kids to get a £2.50 tickets for kids aged under 14.
Children must be accompanied by an adult to be eligible for the discount.
You should also be aware that if you book online, you will have to pay 75p per ticket.
Odeon and Vue also have similar offers for kids at weekends and in the school holidays.
