SLEEP TIGHT

Tiny London flat could be yours for £1,250 – but it will be a squeeze to get into bed at night

A TINY flat has been listed in London for just over £1k per month but prospective tenants face a tight squeeze to get into bed each evening.

Those hoping to live in the Primrose Hill studio flat will have to climb a ladder to get into bed and claustrophobics need not apply.

The double bed has been squeezed into a narrow ceiling space, dubbed a "sleeping gallery" on the listing, accessible only by the thin ladder in the middle of the kitchen.

Tenants will have to scale the ladder and then literally crawl into bed.

There is even a bedside table, although tabletop space is limited as it touches the sloping ceiling.

The bedroom is seating-room only as standing is not an option without stooping significantly.

Photos of the flat also show a small living/dining area, a cramped kitchen and a bathroom next to the narrow hallway.

There is no garden or parking, while the flat's storage space is also in the ceiling, this time above the hall.

Rent is set at £1,250 per month - £430 more than the average rent in the area, according to the rental website SpareRoom.

Despite this, bills are not included and a month's rent is required as a deposit.

It is advertised for up to two people and is available from 13 July in what the listing calls "a quiet building".

Renters will have to be sure about the flat, though, as the minimum tenancy is one year.
