Britain’s least popular place to buy revealed…and it’s down to ‘boring’ lifestyle
THE least popular place in Britain to buy a house is Shrewsbury, research suggests.
Zoopla trawled property stats on areas across the UK.
They found the number of people seeking a home in the Shropshire town was down 16 per cent on five years ago.
Bradford, West Yorks, was the most popular with a 98 per cent rise in demand.
Shrewsbury resident Peter Bentall, 61, loves the town.
He said: “I’ve lived here all my life and absolutely love the place - we are right next to Wales and just along the road from some of the most amazing scenery.

“The town itself is steeped in history and I really cannot imagine why people might not want to live here.”
He added: “It might be a bit boring to the younger people around here."
