City studio flat goes on market for just £425 per month – but it comes with a catch

A STUDIO flat is being rented for just £425 a month, but tenants won't believe the unique layout.

Despite being described as "spacious" on the listing, the flat is in fact so tiny that the shower is next to the bed.

Not only that, but the shower is surrounded by a clear screen, offering users no privacy.

Tenants will have to make a quick grab for their towels as they step out of the shower and into the path of the flat's single window.

The Birmingham property, listed on Rightmove by Midland Housing, also comes complete with a cooker by the wall of the lounge area, next to an armchair.

In the listing, they described the property as "spacious" without irony.

The listers also call it "a great home for single working professionals as it is located in the highly sought after location of Edgbaston."

One prospective tenant commented online saying: "It’s shockingly small."

"But at least you’d only have a short hop for your morning wash."

The pad comes "partly furnished" and is equipped with central heating and double glazing.

Their are also apparently "many local amenities."

These amenities, however, are not specified.

Also missing from the listing is the mention of a toilet in the single room and none is visible in the photos provided online.

Those searching for a home in Birmingham will have to decide whether the low price and the "excellent transport links" into the city centre make the tiny flat worth renting.
