Full list of cheap broadband tariffs you can get NOW – and you could slash bill by £300 a year
MILLIONS of households claiming certain benefits could save hundreds every year by moving to cheaper tariffs.
Four million households are eligible for low-cost social broadband tariffs.
However, only 1.2% of those eligible have actually applied for the discounted rates.
BT, Community Fibre, G.Network, Hyperoptic, Now, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media all offer social broadband tariffs.
With prices starting from £12.50 it's well worth investigating what's on offer and how much you could save.
Eligibility criteria and the way to apply varies by firm, but The Sun has come up with a handy tool to check your eligibility.

And now the government has stepped in to make it easier for customers to confirm their eligibility.
From today, customers will no longer need to prove their entitlement to broadband providers as regularly as every month.
Instead, customers can give their internet service provider permission to confirm their benefit entitlement with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
We've listed all the broadband providers which offer social tariffs for those on selected benefits.

You could save hundreds with one of the broadband tariffs below.
BT
BT offers customers customers on selected benefits a low-cost 12 month contract costing £15 a month.
Average broadband speeds for the tariff are rated at 67Mb. You can check to see if your home is BT-ready by using the firms' .
You'll need to be in receipt of the following benefits to be eligible:
- Universal Credit
- Pension credit (guarantee credit)
- Employment and support allowance (ESA)
- Jobseeker's allowance
- Income support
on BT's website.
Community Fibre
Exclusive to those living in London, Community Fibre offers every customer an essential broadband tariff worth £12.50 a month for a year.
The firms' offering isn't defined as a "social" tariff in its own right and it is open to all households.
Even though it's cheap, if you live in a large household broadband speeds at 10Mbs may be too slow.

G.Network
Like Community Fibre, G.Network is only available to set customers in and around London.
However, if you're in receipt of any of the following benefits you'll be eligible for their Essential Fibre Broadband tariff:
- Universal Credit
- Pension credit (guarantee credit)
- Employment and support allowance (ESA)
- Jobseeker's allowance
- Income support
The contract is fixed at £15 a month for 12 months and you'll get speeds up to 50Mbs.

Hyperoptic
Customers living in several of the UK's biggest cities including London, Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow are able to take advantage of Hyperoptic's Fair Fibre plans.
The firm offers priced between £15 and £28 a month and covering speeds between 50Mbs and 150Mbs.
The contracts are also set-up on a 30-day rolling basis which means you can cancel the contract more flexibility than other longer tariffs.
To be eligible you'll need to be in receipt of at least one of the following benefits:
- Universal Credit
- Pension credit (guarantee credit)
- Employment and support allowance (ESA)
- Jobseeker's allowance
- Income support
- Personal independence payments (PIP)
- Care leavers support

Now
Now's Broadband Basics package is open to all those who receive Universal Credit and pension credit.
You can grab a 36Mbps contract for on a 30-day rolling basis.

Sky
Like Now, those receiving Universal Credit and pension credit are eligible for Sky's social broadband tariff - dubbed Broadband Basics.
It'll set you back and it'll give you speeds up to 35Mbps.
To check if you're eligible and to apply for the tariff you'll need to call Sky on 0333 759 3898.
TalkTalk
TalkTalk offers six months of FREE broadband to jobseekers across the UK.
The Fibre 35 package, which is normally priced at £23 a month on an 18-month contract, will be available for free for six months.
You'll need to apply through your local Jobcentre Plus.

Virgin Media
The firms Essential Broadband package gives low-income households broadband for £15 a month on a 30 day rolling basis.
