The retailer posted the product to its official Facebook page and it quickly received over a thousand comments shoppers eager to buy.

Several took to the comments to say what they would use it for, with cheese and crackers being one of the popular choices.

One said: "How cute would a cheese board look on that."

While another wrote: "We need this for cheese and biscuits!!"

Lots of commenters were quick to tag their pals and family members to share the find.

One woman wrote: "Perfect for the sausage rolls."

While another tagged her friends and said: "I need this for Christmas movie night."

It's a bit of a bargain too, as it costs £5.99.

It also seems popular for those planning festive gatherings over the coming months with dozens of people saying it is perfect for "picky bits" and charcuterie boards.

"This would be epic for our Xmas pizza night and our Xmas cheese board nights," another said.

Some were not so keen on the slate aspect of the item, with one saying: "What is wrong with a serving plate?

"I would not have that or eat from any table that has one the world has gone mad slates are for roofs plates for food!!!!!!!"

The Range seem to have cornered the market on this product as we struggled to find one similar for a price comparison.

The closest we could find was a slate board at B&M for £5 but obviously is not as festive.

Alternatively, we did find a Christmas tree platter for £8.99 on the Home Bargains website which is made of wood and has three ceramic dishes for different food.

Amazon also stocks dozens of Christmassy dishes and trays starting from around £10.

As always, The Sun recommends always shopping around for the best bargain and bear in mind extra delivery costs that could bump up the price if bought online.
