Christmas ads are a thing of excitement for customers during the winter - most notably, people look forward to seeing the John Lewis advert.

Although that hasn't been released yet, Asda's and Lidl's are, and it's thought John Lewis' will be out soon.

Last year's was .

But now JD Sports has brought an advert out - featuring 32 young celebrities playing games and having fun in an arcade - and people are raving about it on social media.

The advert, called King Of The Game, follows a host of famous icons from Anthony Joshua to KSI playing games in an arcade - competing with each other and pushing the message of being "king of the game."

The list of celebrities included are:

  • Chunkz
  • KSI

It had one fan saying: "Slam dunk, best Christmas advert already."

Another praised: "This ad did not miss a beat!"

One wrote: "This ad did not disappoint me at all. Had many big names like VVD, Kano, Trent, Chunkz, KSI, Konan.

"Absolutely smashed it."

And another cheered: "Let’s be real, I don’t think there is gonna be any Christmas ad that can top this - I was entertained all the way."

Last year's JD Christmas advert also featured Trent Alexander-Arnold along with Jadon Sancho and other Premier League football stars.

It showed a high street sprinkled with "JD Christmas magic" as the star-studded cast explored the place.

But some John Lewis fans are eagerly waiting on a Christmas ad this year which might be due sooner rather than later - many have spotted a change in the retailer's Facebook and website logo.

The logo now features a skateboard in place of the I in Lewis, which had one fan contemplating: "Maybe Santa is arriving by skateboard this year & not the sleigh."

John Lewis tweaked its logo last year only days before the retailer released its 2021 festive advert.

The retailer replaced the O in John with a star.

Aldi is also teasing fans about its Christmas advert - hinting popular character Kevin the Carrot might be back.

The carrot has featured in the discounter's Christmas campaign for the past five years and he looks set to return in 2022.

And Asda's hilarious Buddy the Elf advert has proved enormously popular - with some saying it even beats previous John Lewis ads.

Asda's latest Christmas advert sees the return of Will Ferrell's character Buddy the Elf from the movies under the same name.

The supermarket has partnered with Warner Bros to bring Buddy the Elf back to our screens - 19 years after the film Elf was released.

Will Ferrell didn't have to film a single scene - but he did ensure that he had a say over the final product.
