Best supermarket Christmas party food including Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco
PRESENTS aren't always the best part of Christmas - sometimes it's the delectable meal that comes with it.
So, you might be looking for the best party food to go with your show-stopping turkey - well look no further.
We've put together a list of scrumptious starters for the Christmas dinner table to set things off to a flying start.
Sainsbury's
Sainsbury's has a new range of classic pigs in blankets - but with a spicy twist.
Christmas wouldn't be the same without the family bringing out little pork sausages wrapped in bacon (if you're not veggie).

Sainsbury's is selling them now in packets of 12 for £3.75.
The supermarket also sells packs of 12 ordinary pigs in blankets for £3.25, if that's more your thing.
But remember to factor in delivery costs on top of that price - it could cost more if you live further away.
Lidl
Lidl's lollipop tempura king prawns come in packs of 10 for £1.99.
Covered in crispy salt and pepper batter, they're the perfect snack to start with if you're a seafood lover.
You can find them online, although you'll need to pick them up in store.
Lidl has confirmed on its website when certain festive foods are will be available in shops.
You might want to check ahead with your local supermarket if they have what you're looking for in stock before you go to avoid a wasted trip.
And there's more where that came from - the discount supermarket has gone all posh with its festive range, with shoppers also able to purchase caviar and lobster.
Asda
Asda is selling a gorgeous Pate de Campagne and chicken parfait selection for those refined diners out there.
For just £2.50, the 200g box contains a variety of smooth and coarse pate if that's your cup of tea.
They're on shelves in store now - although it's worth calling up to check your local branch has them in stock.
Tesco
Tesco is doing a delicious box of eight sweet and soy chicken skewers for £3.50.
Glazed in rich sweet and soy sauce, these mini chicken breast skewers are what you need to satisfy a ravenous appetite.
Buy them now and get any three for two with your Clubcard.
But Clubcard users beware - you need to use your vouchers up in the next three weeks before they expire.
Also on the Tesco Christmas menu is sticky toffee cheese - available from November 14, it's cheddar cheese infused with toffee pieces, dates and raisins.
Morrisons
Available now, you can nab yourself and your family 10 duck spring rolls, along with a hoisin dip, for £4.
A party food classic, you can't go wrong with tender duck wrapped in crispy pastry with a sweet and savoury dip.
There's a deal on the Morrisons website too which gets you three for two, so it might be worth stocking up now and freezing them for Christmas.
The Morrisons Christmas menu also includes some creative nibbles - from a Rudi the Reindeer cake to prawns in blankets.
It comes as the supermarket announced the return of its Christmas Food to Order service.
From now until December 10, shoppers can order over 200 items to be collected between December 21 and 24.
