Supermarket chain could shut more stores after string of closures – is your local affected?
A SUPERMARKET chain is considering shutting more stores after a string of closures earlier this year.
The Co-op is to close, or has closed, six of it stores across the UK.
Some of the stores had different closing dates, while the future of other branches are yet to be decided.
A spokesperson for Co-op, said: “Like all retailers, we regularly review our sites to ensure they meet the needs of the community and deliver against our strategic objectives.
"Six new Co-op stores will have opened by the end of March.”
Co-op closed its branches in Princess Drive, Grantham, in January, as well as a store in Linthorpe Village, Middlesbrough.
