It comes following a successful last year with the opening of two bakeries within Primark stores.

The new cafes will feature the same vibrant interiors as the two already open in Primarks in Birmingham and Oxford Street East.

The discount retailer will open four new Tasty by Greggs cafes in its Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool and Leeds stores before the end of July, it confirmed.

Tony Rowson, property director at Greggs, said: “We’re thrilled with the success of our partnership with Primark to date – ranging from three iconic fashion collections to now three brilliant ‘Tasty by Greggs’ cafes.

"We’re constantly on the lookout for new ways to inspire and excite our customers and we’re looking forward to extending our partnership to new locations later this year.”

Here's the full list of Primark stores getting Greggs cafes over the next few months:

  • Newcastle (today, March 22)
  • Bristol (opening May 2023)
  • Liverpool (opening June 2023)
  • Leeds (opening June 2023)

Last year, The Sun visited Primark's Oxford Street store to check out the Greggs cafe and we were pretty impressed.

Individually Greggs has over 2,000 locations nationwide, while Primark has 191 stores.

The two UK high street staples have also previously come together to launch three clothing ranges sold in Primark stores across the country.

The different ranges included a 11-piece collection featuring hats and hoodies in February last year, then followed by a summer collection in July.

In November 2022 the pair unveiled its first Christmas pieces including a festive jumper and tracksuits.

The news comes just weeks after Greggs revealed plans to open 150 stores this year.

It said it also has plans to relocate 40 shops to new, larger sites and trial a 24-hour drive thru service.

As of December 31, Greggs said it had 2,328 branches and eventually wants to have more than 3,000 stores across the UK.

It also extended opening hours for around 500 shops to 8pm or beyond in 2022.
