CHEERS TO THAT

Wetherspoons has made menu change with three new drinks – but fans are divided

Spoons has launched a "Signature Cocktail Range" in 150 boozers, and one in particular has already been labelled "the worst drink in the world".

The signature range launched in February 2023 initially trialling in 120 pubs predominantly in the London area.

It has since been rolled out to 150 pubs, including some in Ireland and Scotland.

The range sits alongside the classic cocktail range also on trial which includes Espresso Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri and Tommy’s Margarita.

This also includes the spritz range which includes the Citrus Spritz, made with Ciroc.

The signature range consists of three cocktails, Tennessee Apple and Raspberry, Strawberry Porn Star Martini and Bubbletiser.

And it is the Bubbletiser cocktail that is causing some controversy among its loyal customers.

The Bubbletiser is a bubble gum vodka-based cocktail, that is made up of Au Vodka bubble gum and bubble gum syrup, topped with apple juice and lemonade, then garnished with lemon.

For those with a sweet tooth, this might seem like the perfect combination, but not everyone is a fan.

One Twitter user posted a picture of the Bubbletiser and wrote: "Regret to inform everyone that Wetherspoons is now serving the worst drink in the world."

And one person responded: "Oh NO absolutely not."

While another replied: "CLOSE IT DOWN."

Over on Reddit, one user admitted to being "really curious how apple and bubblegum go together" while another loved the idea and thought the Bubbletiser "actually sounds great".
