Wetherspoon closes several pubs this summer as 25 branches are still up for sale – is your local affected?
WETHERSPOON has closed several more pubs or taken them off the market as 25 remain up for sale.
The chain has already shut two boozers in West Bromwich and Loughton and another in Cheltenham has been taken off the market.
The Billiard Hall in West Bromwich closed on May 21, while the Last Post in Loughton shut on May 14.
The Bank House in Cheltenham was taken off the market this month.
Meanwhile, the Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis in Southampton is set to close in just a few days' time on June 18.
But there are still a number of boozers up for sale, including in London, Middlesborough and Halifax.

Which Wetherspoon pubs have already closed?
Wetherspoon has already closed 23 of its pubs since they went up for sale.
More than half a dozen closed in 2022, including the Harvest Moon in Orpington, Coal Orchard in Taunton and The Sir John Stirling Maxwell in Glasgow.

Meanwhile, The Postal Order in Worcester, and the North and South Wales Bank in Wrexham closed in January 2023.
Further Wetherspoon branches - The Cliftonville in Hove and The Willow Grove, Southport - closed on March 5, 2023.

Wetherspoons, like many other pub chains and retailers, has been hit hard by rising costs brought on by high inflation.
The company's boss, Tim Martin, also said far more people now drink in their homes rather than in pubs.
Venues have also hiked beer and grub prices by up to 7.5%, The Sun exclusively revealed in February 2023.
