We might only be half way through September but shoppers have already been sharing the light-up must-haves on social media.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one Christmas lover shared the full list of variations and their prices.

They said: “Maybe not a bargain to some but a lot of people loved these last year when I posted about them and this year they are even better.”

The shopper shared photos of the tins they nabbed, including a hot chocolate house, a gold tea house and a shortbread house.

Each of the metal boxes light up creating the perfect Christmas decoration, as well as providing some tasty treats.

Even better, once the treats have been enjoyed, they could be used as nightlights for the little ones.

The M&S fan bagged a car-shaped tin filled with milk chocolate and a musical gingerbread house.

The post was met with more than 500 comments and over 880 likes from fellow Facebook users.

One said: “These are miles better than last year’s!”

Another shopper wrote: “I love giving these as Christmas gifts.”

A third commented: “I will be getting one of these to add to my collection.”

A fourth said: “I love these, get them every year.”

And a fifth wrote: “Oh these are beautiful! Can’t wait to get them again this year.”

The prices for the individual Christmas tins are as follows:

  • Shortbread tin – £6
  • Tea tin – £5
  • Hot chocolate tin – £4
  • Gingerbread musical tin £5
  • Chocolate car tin – £5

The M&S shopper also said: “They also had a musical cone tin tree with truffles and a gorgeous mixed biscuit light up musical tin that projected onto the ceiling.”

New versions of the light-up tins are released each year, and Christmas lovers go wild for them every time.

You can buy the tin in store at M&S where you’ll find it on the food hall shelves.

You can find your nearest M&S using the store finder tool.

We couldn’t find the tins online yet but we’ve asked M&S when they might be available and will update this story when we hear back.

If you spot one in your nearest store you might want to be quick because they do tend to sell out fast.

Last year, the posh shop chain released a “fantastic” starry night shortbread tin which was priced at £9.

If you are thinking of bagging one of the new tins though, you should have a quick shop around first as you might be able to find a similar product cheaper elsewhere.

In the past Waitrose has sold a mini musical shortbread tin for £3.75.

But we haven’t managed to find any other similar products on sale this year just yet.

Shoppers will also be on the look out for M&S’ iconic light-up snow globe gins which are bound to be hitting shelves again soon.

Elsewhere, Iceland has revealed its Christmas 2023 range and it includes a pigs in blanket toastie and festive tree lollies.

And, Morrisons shoppers are rushing to buy tubs of Quality Street and they’re the cheapest around.
