Wilko issues message to shoppers under new owners – fans will be delighted
WILKO has issued a fresh message to shoppers under its new owners, and they will be delighted at what it says.
Hundreds of stores are sadly set to disappear from the high street forever, but the Wilko name is set to live on.
The Range last week snapped up the Wilko brand, including the name and website, in a £5million deal with administrators.
Now, a message on the Wilko website is promising customers that home delivery is "returning soon".
Shoppers used to be able to buy everything from garden and DIY items, to household and pet products from wilko.com.
They could order online to get items delivered to their home.

Or they could order online for pick up in one of its 400 stores with click and collect.
But home delivery was halted as Wilko scrambled to stop itself falling into administration while click and collect was dropped days later when it eventually went bust.
It's understood Wilko's website will be relaunched in October, although an exact date is yet to be announced.
We've asked The Range for more information including what items will be available and will update when we hear back.

Shoppers are thrilled at the return of Wilko online, which has also been teased on social media.
Wilko's official Facebook page posted: "Thanks for bearing with us. wilko.com will be returning soon with the best selection of products you’d expect from us.
"Great value products that simply help".
One shopper said "Wow! That's awesome" and another "didn't expect that".
But shoppers should beware of any sites that are not wilko.com.
Scammers have been taking advantage of Wilko's downfall by promising huge sale discounts - but they are not legitimate and are designed to steal people's money.
The Wilko brand name will vanish from the high street after administrators PwC failed to reach a deal with potential buyers to save hundreds of stores and thousands of jobs.
All Wilko stores will close by early October - but some are set to reopen under a different name after locations were bought by rival discounters.
Last week, Poundland said it would buy 71 shops from Wilko, and former workers will be first in line for new jobs.
B&M has also bought out 51 shops as part of a £13million deal.
The locations of the B&M stores will be issued alongside its half-year financial results on November 9.
The first of the closures started last Tuesday, with 24 shops shutting for good.
A further 28 sites closed two days later, resulting in over 1,000 redundancies.
Meanwhile, 124 stores are shutting this week in three rounds of closures on Sunday 17, Tuesday 19 and September 21.
PwC has said dates for when the remaining 222 closures will be announced soon.
It is expected that all stores will close in the coming weeks, leading to a further 9,100 employees losing their jobs in those stores.
Wilko collapsed into administration back in August after failing to find new backing for the business.
