A savvy shopper grabbed the bargain in her local store and posted the deal in the B&M Scanner and other bargains Facebook group.

Even though the lights are priced at £18 on the box they scanned at the tills for just £2.

People were rushing to the comments with one shopper describing the lights as "amazing".

The pack of metallic bronze fence lights are described as being "perfect for lighting up your garden fence or driveway."

They do not require any wiring and according to the description automatically turn on at dusk.

Each light comes with 1 x AA rechargeable battery and would be the perfect addition to any festive garden display.

Commenting on the post, one person said: "These are amazing, will need to check my store."

Another added: "Just look out for the old packaging, the new ones are £10."

While another tagged her friend and said: "If you find these I was some."

The post does not say which store the shopper found the lights in and just because the deal is in one does not mean it will be in all.

It is best to check ahead with your local store to avoid a disappointing trip.

You can find your nearest B&M by putting your postcode into the store locator tool on the website.

The B&M offer is a great deal but it is always worth shopping around to see what other retailers have on offer.

The Range has a pack of eight solar wall lights, which are slightly different in design, retailing for £18.99.

Argos also has a set of six black solar fence lights retailing for £18, and Wickes had a pack of four reduced to £10.

It does look like B&M is the cheapest around at the moment but things do change from day to day.

Remember it is only a good offer if you were thinking of buying something in the first place.

If you are buying an item just because it is on offer you are not necessarily saving money.

How does the B&M scanner work?

The B&M scanner is a popular tool among fans of the store and it's completely free.

The scanner is a barcode app that lets you see if the item's price is cheaper than what is advertised on the shelves.

To access the scanner all you need to do is download the B&M Stores mobile app, which can be downloaded for free on your smartphone.

When you have downloaded the app all you need to do is click on the "scan" button at the bottom of the homepage.

This will then bring up the camera on your smartphone, which you'll need to use to scan barcodes.

When you scan the barcode of something in store the app will automatically bring up the item's price, this is when you will know if the item has been reduced or not.

Shoppers regularly post their scanner finds in the B&M Scanner and other bargains Facebook group.

Some bargain hunters have found items for as little as 10p through the app.
