Shoppers can snap it up for £40 and Dunelm says it costs just 7p an hour to run - that means eight hours of use will set you back 56p.

Customers have been heaping praise on the airer with almost 170 offering the gadget a five star rating on the Dunelm website.

One said it "does the job brilliantly," adding: "My son's dance kit washed at 1pm and dry by 9pm."

Another said: "Dried heavy uniforms and jeans well and not too hot to be worried about kids & pets getting near."

Meanwhile, a third added: "Works a treat. Wish we'd got one earlier. Efficient."

The airer can hold up to 10kg of weight and is designed with fold out wings for extra drying space.

It also comes with a nifty illuminated on and off switch and folds away neatly after use.

Of course, you should always shop around when buying something like this as you might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

Meanwhile, a quick scan on the Google Products tab will bring up how much retailers are selling a certain item for.

In this case, it is hard to make a straight comparison as heated airers come with different wattages - how powerful they are.

That said, we had a quick look to see if there are any other heated airers out there cheaper than Dunelm's £40 model, and found two.

There is one on The Range's website for £30, £10 cheaper. It's just a fraction smaller too.

Meanwhile, B&Q is selling one for £35.

Remember to always factor in delivery charges when ordering online too.

For example, Dunelm is charging a £3.95 delivery fee on its heated airer meaning you are actually paying £43.95 overall.

Whereas The Range's £30 model comes with free delivery so you're saving almost £14 opting for that one.
