McDonald's Monopoly usually lasts for around six weeks, and this year it's set to end on October 17.

To play, fans must collect stickers from their food packaging that represent pieces from the classic game.

You can also collect the pieces through the McDonald's app - a feature introduced last year.

Among the top prizes this year are £100,000 in cash for five winners, TUI holidays worth £2,000 and "gold cards", which give you a free medium Maccies meal every week for a year.

There are then thousands of other smaller prizes such as coupons for free food items and gift vouchers for online stores.

While rumours circulate every year that no one really wins the big-ticket items, the latest statistics prove otherwise.

Hundreds of huge wins have already been celebrated and there are still weeks left to go.

The top prizes given away so far include:

  • £100,000 cash - two given away
  • £2k TUI holidays - eight given away
  • £1,000 cash - 34 given away
  • £200 cash - 140 given away
  • Gold cards - 454 given away

No one has nabbed any of the electric car top prizes so far this year.

This means the remaining top prizes up for grabs are as follows:

  • £100,000 - three left
  • Mini electric cars - 21 left
  • £1,000 cash - 66 left
  • £2k TUI holidays - 72 left
  • Gold cards - 1,546 left
  • £200 cash - 1,870 left

Last year, we revealed mum-of-one Kiran Johal after spending just £1.39 on a medium fries.

has introduced a new twist to the Monopoly game this year.

Customers can now trade in their peels for another more frequently found property, or swap it for an entry into the £100k prize draw.

Make sure not to accidentally throw your meal packaging away without peeling off your sticker and checking whether you're one of the lucky winners.
