A WW2 veteran has revealed special plans for his cash after nabbing an eye-popping £700,000 in the lotto jackpot.
Bernard Botting, from Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset, scooped the hefty sum in the People’s Postcode Lottery’s monthly Millions draw.
The veteran, 98, also became the oldest ever winner or a lottery prize when he pocketed a total of £685,713.
Widower Bernard originally took home a still very respectable £228,571, but tripled his winnings because he plays with three tickets.
“I never thought I’d win…I just hoped," Bernard said as three generations of his family proudly watched him receive his cheque.
He continued: “I never thought I’d win…I just hoped.
