Shoppers threaten to boycott Primark after major change at stores… and say problem will only get WORSE at Christmas
FUMING shoppers have threatened to boycott Primark after a major store change.
And, disappointed customers fear the problem will only get worse - making Christmas shopping an absolute nightmare.
The discount retailer has stared to introduce self-service check outs, much to the dismay of Primark fans.
One woman visited the Bexleyheath branch in southeast London and was shocked at what she found.
In a rant on Facebook, she penned: "Went to Primark in Bexleyheath this morning and was mortified to find that they have now introduced ‘self-serve’ tills.
"I can’t abide ‘do it yourself’ tills and I will boycott shops that introduce them.

"We’ll be filling the shelves next. Can you imagine what it will be like at Christmas?
"There are always problems with these tills, which will hold up the queues even more.
"The staff member guiding people to a self serve or manned till, assured me there would still be ‘A’ manned till, we’ll see."
It comes as data revealed that self-service checkouts are pretty unpopular among shoppers.

One Facebook user posted on the platform: "They always go wrong and then you have to wait ages for a staff member to come (they are always busy, short staffed etc) and the more self service tills the less staff meaning less jobs."
Another wrote: "Should pay the customer for doing the job for them."
A third commented: "Hate self service tills! Another shop cutting down its workforce."
And a fourth said: "I will never use self service checkouts and will not be shopping there ever."
Some shoppers put themselves in a more neutral position.
One woman said: "There's pros and cons. Personally I use them if the tills are busy."
While others are keen to try out the new checkouts and say they prefer the system when asked if they should stick around.
One wrote: "Yes as every time I go in Primark there are only ever like four staff on the tills with a queue of like 20 people waiting I've queued in there for 40 minutes to pay before it’s not on."
Another said: "I'll be honest needed some socks for my little girl was dreading the trip.
"Was very easy and quick using the self service! Well done Primark."
A third commented: "This is good news, especially if you have anxiety, you can get in and out quicker."
While a fourth posted: "Well at least you won't get over charged by scanning something twice."
It comes as Primark fans only just realised another major change to stores - and it makes life so much easier.
Customers were thrilled when they discovered the budget fashion chain has included all womenswear on its click and collect service.
Previously, Primark fans could only select kids' clothing and nursery items.
It means devoted shoppers will be able to order a whole new Autumn wardrobe from the comfort of their own bed.
Instead of browsing for hours in store, customers simply select their products online and collect them from a local branch.
The exciting new change will see an extra 2,500 items added to the existing click and collect range.

But, it is only set to hit 57 select stores across London, the north west, and north Wales.
While there is no extra cost to use the service, shoppers will need to spend a minimum of £10.
