Halloween costumes and treats double in price leaving parents out of pocket
FANS of Halloween are in poor spirits as soaring costs force them to pay double for some seasonal favourites.
Our research from shopping around found families face a heftier bill for the big night compared to last year.
Martyn James, of the Sun on Sunday’s Squeeze Team, said: “It’s unacceptable that some businesses and big brands are allowing these way-above- inflation price hikes to occur.
“Halloween goods are targeted because, even if money is really tight, companies know we think, ‘Let’s have a treat’. Halloween is for kids and they know that we’ll go to a shop, see the price, be outraged, but still buy.”
Here are some of the prices for items this year and in 2022.
