As the cost of living continues to bite trying to entertain the kids over holidays can see family budgets stretched.

There are quite a few places where you can get a good deal on a kid's meal this half-term

But there are some places where taking the kids out for the day doesn't have to break the bank.

Whether it is a breakfast out or the promise of some lunch to break up the supermarket shop plenty of retailers are stepping up to help parents out.

We have pulled together a list of some of the places that your kids can eat free or cheap this half term.

Asda

Kids can eat for £1 in Asda cafes and there is no minimum spend to get the offer.

The scheme was first introduced in the summer to help support families with the cost of living crisis, but it has been extended until the end of the year.

The Kids Eat for £1 deal is available all day, every day and children can choose from a hot meal or a cold one.

Marks and Spencer

Marks and Spencer is bringing back its free food offer for kids this autumn half term.

The supermarket is offering one free £4 Munch Menu when customers spend £5 in the cafe.

The Munch Menu includes a main, plus a snack and drink.

Sainsbury's

Kids can eat for £1 in Sainsbury's cafes with the purchase of an adult hot main from £5.20.

The offer applies from 1130am every day and is subject to availability.

Morrisons

Parents can get one free kid's meal when buying an adult meal with a value of £4.50 or more in Morrisons.

A kid's meal comes with a piece of fruit and Tropicana kid's orange juice, apple drink, or bottle of water.

The free meal must be from the cafe's kids menu and cannot be used with any other offer.

Tesco

Kids can eat free in Tesco this October half term, but only midweek as the deal excludes weekends.

Customers will also need to show their Clubcard at the till.

Toby Carvery

Kids can eat for £1 at Toby Carvery until November 3.

All you have to do is order an adult main or breakfast and show the voucher on the Toby App.

You can download the Toby Carvery app onto your phone to claim the voucher.

Some restaurants are excluded from the offer so do check ahead before visiting.

Beefeater and Brewers Fayre

Two kids can eat free with every adult breakfast that is purchased in Beefeater or Brewers Fayre during the half-term holidays.

The adult breakfast is £9.99 and includes a freshly cooked full English with continental options.

Bella Italia

Kids can eat for £1 with the purchase of every adult main meal Monday to Thursday.

They can enjoy three courses and a drink and meals are suitable for 2-11-year-olds.

Outside of these times, kids can get three courses and a drink for £6.49.

TGI Fridays

Members of TGI "Stripes" rewards can get a free kids meal when purchasing an adult main meal through the app.

The offer is available all year round, not just during half term.

It applies to existing members and new ones.

You can download the app onto your phone to become a member and claim.

Pizza Hut

If you are an O2 Priority customer kids can get a great deal from Pizza Hut.

From October 11 to November 5 kids can get a free Monster Meal worth £7.99.

The meal includes a kid's main, drink and unlimited salad and dessert.

Part of the deal includes kids using the Ice Cream Factory and filling up bowls with soft dairy ice cream before covering it in toppings, sauces, and sweets.
