The Cadbury Creme Egg bar is launching in December

Cadbury is launching a new Creme Egg chocolate bar in December that is “perfect for sharing”.

The 123g bars will be priced at £1.80 and it is the first time that the Creme Egg will be available in bar form in the UK.

News of the launch was posted in the Snack News and Reviews Facebook group and chocolate lovers were quick to share their thoughts on the new sweet treat.

One person said: “Love it, I would have this instead of an egg”.

Another commented: “Our new obsession is incoming”.

While a third added: “You know what I will be stocking up on”.

However not everyone was impressed with the timing of the news, one person exclaimed: “We haven’t even had Christmas yet”.

And another said: “It is a bit early to talk about Easter“.

Some people also noticed that it is not the first time the chocolate giant has launched a Creme Egg bar.

It previously launched a limited edition 180g Dairy Milk bar filled with Creme Egg fondant to the Australian market.

One person in the comments said: “I have been getting these for years from my mum in Australia”.

There is no exact date confirmed yet for the launch of the Creme Egg chocolate bar, but we have reached out to Cadbury and we will update here when we know more.

The new chocolate bar follows the success earlier this year of the Creme Egg White.

The Easter treat was first unveiled in November 2022 and it marked the first major innovation to the chocolate treat in over 50 years.

It contains the same gooey fondant centre but is cased in a white chocolate shell.

But the white chocolate treat proved to be so popular that stocks sold out before Easter.

More recently Cadbury has been upsetting its fans after revealing that one chocolate bar that some describe as the “best chocolate bar they’ve ever made” has been discontinued.

Meanwhile, other shoppers have been rushing to buy a Cadbury selection box that is the cheapest around.

We also tested some Caramac dupes following the announcement that the iconic chocolate bar is about to be discontinued forever.

Also, if you are shopping around for a Cadbury advent calendar we have found the cheapest ones around this week and they cost just £1.35 each.
