Wetherspoons to slash food and drink prices at 800 pubs TODAY and fans say it’s the ‘best news this year’

WETHERSPOONS is having a January sale on its food and drink and fans are delighted.

The pub chain has slashed its prices at more than 800 venues starting from today.

In England and Wales, punters will be able to get a pint for less between January 2 and January 17, 2024.

Pubs in will see the price drop a day later from January 3, 2024.

Discounts will vary, as the pubs price their drinks differently.

But the average sale prices across all of its pubs include a pint of Bud Light at £1.99, a pint of Doom Bar at £1.99 and classic cocktails at £2.99.

Customers are delighted with the news and have been tagging their friends on social media to arrange a visit.

One person said: “Can’t wait to go to Spoons for my birthday, love a good Spoons pub.”

Another commented: “Best news this year.”

While another added: “People will be in for a pint instead of breakfast at that price.”

Another person tagged their friend and said: “I bet this is the best crimbo present that you have had.”

Here is a list of some of the drinks that will be reduced in price:

• Doom Bar
• Bud Light
• Worthington’s, Stowford Press Apple Cider
• Budweiser, spirits
• AU vodka (four flavours)
• Sidemen XIX Vodka (mixed berry)
• Classic cocktails (Espresso Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri and Tommy’s Margarita)
• Corona seltzers (raspberry & lemon and guava & lime)
• Diet Pepsi
• Pepsi Max
• R. White’s lemonade
• Pepsi Max cherry)
• Lavazza coffee (with free refills, as well as tea and hot chocolate)

Customers will be able to get discounts on food, including breakfasts, small plates and burgers.

A small breakfast that includes a fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans and toast – will be reduced to £1.99.

Small plates such as halloumi-style fries and nachos will also be available, with any three for £12.

A selection of burgers will be included in the sale, including the American burger, classic beef burger, crunchy chicken strip burger and the skinny beef burger

All burgers are served chips apart from the skinny burger, which comes with a side salad.

They cost £4.99 with a soft drink and £6.46 with an alcoholic drink.
