Cheapest place to buy Cadbury Easter eggs this week – and it’s not Lidl or Morrisons
ALTHOUGH Easter is still a few months away many supermarkets already have their shelves stocked full of chocolate eggs.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen tons of rare and expensive chocolate eggs trending on social media.
But for many of us, an indulgent but affordable Easter is what’s best, so we’ve put together a list of some of the cheapest places to buy Cadbury Easter eggs this week.
Bare in mind Cadbury has several branded Easter eggs in stores which vary in both taste and size, and some of these will affect the price.
It’s worth deciding exactly what type of Cadbury chocolate you want and what size you need before heading into stores to look for the best price.
Tesco
We’ve scoured the shelves and it turns out the cheapest place to buy Cadbury easter eggs this week is Tesco.

Tesco has Cadbury White chocolate buttons, Freddo Faces and Caramel nibbles easter eggs all for £1.20 each with a Clubcard.
Each egg holds about 100g grams of chocolate and includes the chocolate eggs as well as a bag of goodies.
You can also get the Nestle Smarties Easter egg (which includes smarties) if you're a fan, for the same price.
Without a Clubcard, you will need to pay the retail price of £1.50 for each egg.
Morrisons
Morrisons is up next with the best deal, the retailer is selling a range of different Cadbury Easter eggs from £1.50.
The supermarket has fewer Cadbury options to choose from than Tesco but you will find the Mini easter eggs, with extra mini eggs for the same price.
If you're not keen on larger eggs, Morrisons have a good selection when it comes to smaller eggs.
You can get a Cadbury caramel and Creme eggs for 75p each or two for £1.
Asda
Asda has the next best deal but it’s only worth getting if you are looking to buy your Easter eggs in bulk.
You can get a selection of four Cadbury Easter eggs for £10.
The selection includes Cadbury Creme eggs, Dairy Milk buttons, Cadbury Twirl and, Cadbury Mini eggs.
Each of these eggs will set you back £3 if you buy them on their own.
Sainsbury's
Sainsbury's Easter eggs are quite pricey at the moment, but they may be worth the extra cash if you're looking for rarer flavours.
In-store and online you can find a Cadbury Crunchie egg, and a Cadbury Wispa egg each for £3.25.
These Easter eggs are boxed with more chocolates than the standard size at 190g.
However, the smaller range of 100g boxes doesn’t quite beat Tesco’s prices as they are listed at £1.25.
Ocado
The last place you should head to for a bargain on Easter eggs is Ocado.
The online retailer claims its prices are stuck at £2.50 for the 100g Easter eggs and of course that doesn't include delivery.
Its range is pretty limited too listing only Cadbury White Buttons, Freddo and Mini Easter eggs.
If you have some money to spend Ocado’s larger Lindt Lindor (£6.25) or Toblerone (£10) Easter eggs might pick your fancy.
Both Lidl and Aldi tend to focus on their own-branded Easter eggs around this time of year so if you're on a budget is worth looking at those.
Easter is a great time to indulge in your favourite chocolates so if you're looking for something extravagant it's worth keeping an eye out.
Shoppers are loving Cadbury's Caramilk Easter egg which has already been spotted on shop shelves.
The Cadbury Oreo white chocolate eggs are back in Asda for £2.50.
The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and helps you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it's cheaper.
