The Easter egg is new to shop shelves this year and consists of thick-shelled milk chocolate egg with Cadbury micro Mini Eggs embedded in the chocolate, plus a bag of Mini Eggs.

It is available in several major retailers nationwide but Home Bargains appears to be the cheapest at the moment.

You can pick up the egg for just £9.99, but in-store only as it's not available online.

Shoppers can find their nearest Home Bargains using the store locator tool on the chain's website.

You can compare prices on websites like Google Shopping and Trolley.co.uk - which compares the prices of 130,000 products across 14 major supermarkets.

The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and lets you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it's cheaper.

Of course, make sure to have a look across all the chains on the day you're shopping in case better deals pop up.

We had a quick look and found that Asda and Ocado are selling the same egg for £10.

Meanwhile, Sainsbury's and Tesco are selling the chocolate treat for £12.

Elsewhere, Cadbury has revealed a brand-new flavour of Mini Eggs that has delighted fans.

Shoppers have called the chocolate orange tasty treat a "game changer" and branded it the "best ever" chocolate.

Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange have a RRP OF £1.80 per 80g bag but are currently only available at Tesco stores.

And, shoppers are racing to Asda for a classic Mini Eggs dessert which has returned to shop shelves.

The Cadbury twin pot dessert, usually only available in the Easter season, makes the perfect treat for Mini Egg lovers with the addition of the crisp, sugar-shelled chocolate drops.

Plus, the chocolate giants have admitted they have made key changes to Mini Eggs and told fuming shoppers "it was a last resort".

Cadbury Mini Eggs Chocolate Bag 80g has surged 25% in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons – from £1 to £1.25.

Mini Eggs Bar 110g has also increased in Tesco and Morrisons by 25% from £1 to £1.25.

In Tesco and Sainsbury’s, Mini Eggs Carton 38.3g is up 20% from 50p to 60p, according to the latest figures.

The price hike has left some shoppers fuming. One captured the mood with a post on X which read: "Having to take out a loan to buy a bag of Mini Eggs wtf are these prices."
