‘It’s the one good thing they MUST bring back’ shoppers say as Cadbury confirm ‘next level’ chocolate is gone for good
CHOCOLATE addicts have been dealt a blow by Cadbury this week after they confirmed that a classic treat will stay off shop shelves for good.
The old school treat was highlighted by a customer who asked the company if it was ever going to be coming back - and was politely told no.
Replying to a customer called Sarah on X (formerly Twitter), they told her that there are "no plans" to bring back the Cadbury Spira.
They said: "Hi Sarah, we have no plans to bring back Spira, however we still have lots of other chocolatey treats to try."
The news will come has an emotional punch in the heart of retro chocolate bar lovers - who are always hoping to see their favourite classics return to supermarkets - especially when Easter is approaching.
Sarah is not the only one who wants the Spira to make a sparkling return, as a second person - Chris - felt the same.

In a post that read: "What's something from the past that we need to bring back."
And Chris simply replied with: "Cadbury’s Spira."
While a third, Simon, said: "Cadbury Spira and Fuse were next level."
The classic bar was first made available to Brits in the North-West and South-West of England - but due to being an instant hit was soon stocked in shops all over the UK in 1989.

Unfortunately the treat's popularity became its downfall as it was discontinued in 2005 when becoming too difficult for the legendary chocolate brand to keep up with demand.
The news rocked Cadbury fiends all over the UK when they discovered that the treat would disappear from their shopping baskets for good.
ICONIC CHOCOLATES THAT HAVE LEFT SHOP SHELVES
Cadbury's Dream Chocolate bar: The popular bar was discontinued in 2002, but was relaunched in 2019 under the new name 'Cadbury White'.
Mars Delight Bar: Although it proved to be a firm favourite by sweet-toothed fans during it's four-year stint in shops starting in 2004, by 2008 it was removed from shop shelves. Fans still long to see the treat make a return.
Nestlé's Caramac chocolate bar: The one-of-a-kind bar had been in shops for over six decades, but it was discontinued last year due to continual slumps in sales.
Milky Way Crispy Rolls: They were pulled from shelves in 2022, and fans were so distraught by the news that a petition was started to bring them back, which currently has over 8,500 signatures.
White Maltesers: The white chocolate version of the popular snack had a strong run lasting 11 years, but falling sales condemned them to be discontinued in 2014.
But, chocolate fans across the country still have plenty to be excited about this year as old favourites are reappearing, new treats are being released and quirky snacks are quickly posted online as soon as budding shoppers find them.
Earlier this week eagle-eyed shoppers were quick to comment on a rare cocoa goodie that they found in a shop that others admitted to not knowing it existed.
And for those that are still trying to kill their Nestlé Caramac bar itch - Cadbury have just re-launched their own version in a completely new shape.
A spokesperson for Mondelēz International, said: "We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business.
"Our Spira bars were discontinued in 2005 but we still have plenty of other delicious sharing bags for consumers to choose from."
