How to save on shopping
THERE are many ways to save on clothes and supermarket shopping.
For example, if you know you're after something like a pair of shoes or a jacket, look at secondhand options first.
Apps like eBay, Depop and Vinted have thousands of items from people who no longer want them.
You can try charity shops as well.
If you have to buy the item new, sign up to loyalty schemes and newsletters.
Retailers often have some sort of sale or discount code which they'll advertise through those.
It's also worth using comparison tools if you know you're after a particular item that can be sold at various stores.
It's also a good idea to only shop when a store has a sale on - keep an eye out for events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
You could always make a list of the items you're after so you're ready to go on the day.
You can also use apps like Too Good to Go which provides bundle bags of items that haven't been sold that day at a fraction of the cost.
Stock is always different but it's a great way to save waste and money.
Look out for yellow sticker items in supermarkets - they're usually easier to find towards the end of the day.
