It might be worth calling your local B&M branch if you want to find out if they've got the reflective dog harnesses in stock.

But bear in mind even if they do have it in stock, it might not be for 10p.

B&M tends to reduce items to this price point if they are seasonal or old stock that needs clearing.

You can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer's store locator tool on its website.

Of course, always shop around when buying something like this too - you might find it cheaper elsewhere.

You can use websites like Trolley and Price Spy where you can compare prices on thousands of products.

CamelCamelCamel also lets you track prices specifically on Amazon, and check out a product's price history.

In comparison, Argos has a reflective dog harness for £8 while Pets at Home charges £7.50.

How to save money at B&M

One of the quickest and easiest ways to snap up 10p bargains like the dog harness is by using B&M's barcode scanner app.

The tool can be downloaded for free on to your phone and helps you find discounted items before store labels have been updated.

Once you've downloaded it via Google Play or the Apple App Store, you just have to click on the "scan" button at the bottom of the homepage.

This brings up a camera which you then use to scan barcodes and see if any products have been slashed in price.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  •  is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

One shopper previously revealed how the app had saved her £90 on trips to B&M.

You'll want to head to B&M on Wednesday mornings to be in with the best chance of snapping up the 10p items.
