A FIERY fan favourite is making a comeback to Burger King’s UK locations, and it will start being served today.
With the debut of the Spicy Mayo Double Whopper, the fast food restaurant has brought back its popular Spicy Mayo line.
The Spicy Mayo line, which debuted in the UK last summer, offered a delicious take on the traditional Whopper and Chicken Royale.
Two flame-grilled, 100% British and Irish beef patties, crunchy pickle slices, fresh onions, lettuce, and tomatoes are the toppings of the Spicy Mayo Double Whopper.
The burger is stuffed between a toasted sesame bun and topped with a special blend of sweet ketchup, creamy and spicy mayo, and cheese.
Fans are also in for another delicious surprise, as Burger King menus throughout the UK are once again featuring the well-liked Spicy May Royale.
Tender and crispy 100% chicken breast, smoky bacon strips, fresh lettuce, creamy and spicy mayo, and tomato ketchup are all stacked inside the chicken burger and tucked inside a toasted Royale sesame bread.
Meanwhile, the Spicy Mayo Double Whopper costs £8.79 on its own or £11.89 when combined with a meal at UK retailers.
Customers in the UK may also take advantage of a buy one, get one free promotion for three days in May to commemorate the return of the Spicy Mayo queue.
From May 7 to May 10, customers can use the Burger King UK app to obtain two delicious Spicy Mayo Double Whopper burgers for the price of one.
It comes after Burger King announced it is bringing back a popular item that has left competitor McDonald’s menu.
The salty snack left the Burger King menu late last year but due to popular demand, it’s now making a comeback.
Halloumi Fries are returning on April 23 and for the first time ever they will be available to order on Uber Eats.
The announcement has delighted cheesy chip enthusiasts and comes just in time to prevent them having a total meltdown as Maccies discontinue the fries.
Facebook users have flocked to the platform to share their joy.
“Oh my fave thing from bk,” said one, “Love it,” wrote another.
A third added: “Oh I love this,” and a fourth agreed writing: “Fab”.
The chips are made with 100% Cypriot halloumi and come served with a Sweet Chilli sauce.
They are available as a five-piece or eight-piece side and are perfect as a snack or a side.
