LIDL has made a major change to its loyalty scheme offering shoppers extra discounts and free products.
The major discounter, which operates more than 960 UK stores, has launched "Lidl Plus Offers" in a boost for shoppers' pockets.
The feature allows loyalty scheme customers to access additional discounts when scanning their phones at the tills.
The latest addition to the app is different to Lidl's "coupons" which are personalised offers which have to be activated and then redeemed at the till.
Lidl's latest feature was added to the app in the last few days.
The discounted products appear in the "Offers" section of the app, and will change weekly.

Some of the deals on offer this week include four jam doughnuts for £1.20 instead of 39p each - a 36p saving overall, or 23% discount.
Shoppers can also get a nearly 30% discount on Formil laundry detergent, which is selling for £1.99 instead of £2.79 through the app.
There's a buy one get one free deal on 240g Freshona tinned peach slices too, saving customers 95p for every two cans bought.
It comes as most supermarkets move away from buy one get one free offers with the Government set to ban them by October 2025.

It is understood there is no set maximum discount customers will be able to get on products through Lidl Plus Offers.
Items included each week will range from fresh and cupboard essentials to middle aisle stock.
A Lidl spokesperson said: "To make it even easier for customers to save on their shopping we’ve introduced Lidl Plus Offers.
"This gives Lidl Plus users access to an amazing selection of savings that don’t need to be activated and will automatically be applied at the checkout when customers scan their Lidl Plus app."
It's not the first change Lidl has made to its app recently.
In July last year, is shook up its Coupon Plus scheme to include free bakery items and a 10% off incentive.
The change up had shoppers full of praise.
One said: "Great reward also had a free bakery item. Feel guilty just going in just to get them."
Another added: "I love when they change it up."
It comes as the German discounter sets its sights on opening hundreds more branches across the UK.
Supermarket loyalty schemes - which has one?
MOST UK supermarkets have loyalty schemes so customers can build up points and save money while they shop.
Here we round up what saving programmes you'll find at the big brands.
- Iceland: Unlike other stores, you don't collect points with the Iceland Bonus Card. Instead, you load it up with money and Iceland will give you £1 for every £20 you save.
- Lidl Plus: Lidl customers don't collect points when they shop, and are instead rewarded with personalised vouchers that gives them money off at the till.
- Morrisons: The My Morrisons: Make Good Things Happen replaces the More Card and rewards customers with personalised money off vouchers via the app.
- Sainsbury's: While Sainsbury's doesn't have a personal scheme, it does own the Nectar card which can also be used in Argos, eBay and other shops. You need 200 Nectar points to save up £1 to spend on your card. You need to spend at least £1 to get one Nectar point.
- Tesco: Tesco Clubcard has over 17million members in the UK alone. You use it each time you shop and build up points that can be turned into vouchers - 150 points gets you a £1.50 voucher. Here you need to spend £1 in Tesco to get one point.
- Waitrose: myWaitrose also doesn't allow you to collect points but instead you'll get access to free hot drinks, and discounts off certain brands in store.
Last month, the retailer published a new list of desired locations for potential new stores.
It came just months after the chain said it was looking for £91million to help fund its store expansion.
How does Lidl's loyalty app work?
Lidl Plus works by offering customers personalised coupons based on their purchases which change each week.
These coupons can then be activated and redeemed in-store to get money off certain products.
You can also unlock free bakery and products by spending over certain thresholds through Coupon Plus.
