THE price of a pint has rocketed through a milestone figure for the first time ever as our map reveals the cheapest place in the UK to buy a beer.
The average pint now costs £5 and an American-style tipping system could soon be arriving in Britain, a new report has found.
A whopping 2,500 hospitality businesses, staff, and customers gave insight into the industry for the research, which also revealed where priciest wets are.
Unsurprisingly, London has the most expensive pint in the country, with the average one costing a frightening £7.15.
Belfast, at £6.71, and Brighton and Hove, at £6.60, come in at second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, the cheapest pints in the country can be found in north Wales and Scotland.

Wrexham has pints only costing £2.20 on average, while Bangor sees locals paying £2.42.
Meanwhile, Scotland's Dunfermline, in Fife, has a pint at the average cost of £2.97.
The new reasearch was commission by hospitality tech company three rocks - which also found that between January and March four licensed premises closed a day round the country.
The survey also suggests a big majority of British pug-goers favour an American style of tipping.

A whopping three quarters, or 73 per cent, believe that people should tip when buying drinks at the bar, the research found.
A third, 34 per cent, said that bar staff should get at least 10%-20% gratuity and 61 per cent said bar staff should get all the tips.
Meanwhile, other research found what the cheapest brand of beer was nationally.
Carlsberg is the cheapest pint nationally, with an average price across the isles of only £4.25.
That's £3 cheaper than the most expensive beer, a Beavertown Neck Oil bought in London.
The new data from considered more than 30 beers nationally including lagers, craft, cask, and stout.
Londoners were paying the most for 26 of those beers while the southwest paid more for Foster's, Budweiser, and Doom Bar.
