Chocolate fans demand the return of much-loved flavour after Nestle confirms it is scrapped

Shoppers are clearing the shelves of remaining bars

YORKIE orange bars have been axed - leaving fans desperately scouring shops for the last in stock.

The fruit-infused treat was discontinued last year, but Nestle said some retailers may still have some left as supply dwindles.

The limited edition bars were launched in 2021 when orange chocolate was all the rage.

Around the same time Dairy Milk orange bars were also launched, following Cadbury's orange Twirl in 2019.

But Yorkie’s flamed-coloured version, along with Dairy Milk’s, have both now been scrapped, with loyal buyers left demanding its return.

Responding to the news on X, one fan who claimed to have bought 500 of them said: "Why on earth has it been discontinued?! It’s ten times better than Terry’s chocolate orange!”

Another added: “I just want an orange Yorkie. I’ve been to THREE shops and I can’t find one.”

“They’re so good, I saw loads of them at the start of the year and now I can’t find any.”

Nestle said: "We’re sorry to say that Yorkie Orange hasn’t been available since 2023.

"This year, Yorkie fans can enjoy Yorkie Honeycomb, our current limited edition Yorkie bar that combines honeycomb flavour milk chocolate with honeycomb pieces.”

Products can often remain available for some time after production ends.

For example, when Nestle axed Caramac at the end of last year, shoppers rushed to snap up the remaining bars from Sainsbury's and Iceland where thy were still stocked at the time.

Multipacks of the blonde chocolate were even spotted on B&M shelves this year.

But in this case, it appears that stock of the citrus inspired choc bars have already been snapped up by fans.

Yorkie Orange is unavailable on all major supermarket websites.

We did spot it online at Home Bargains where a box of 24 72g bars is £11.76.

That works out as 49p per bar., though there may be delivery fees on top.

It's not the only product to Nestle has removed from shelves for good.
