The mum-of-two revealed she was watching the latest Marvel hit Deadpool and Wolverine with her husband when staff members from People's Postcode Lottery rang up to give her the good news.

She ignored the call at first - but later checked her voicemails and emails before finding out she won the whopping amount.

Christina said: "They phoned when I was in the cinema seeing Deadpool. I had a voicemail and an e-mail and I thought then, 'This isn't a joke'. It will change our lives."

A £1million prize money was won by seven residents of Blaydon-on-Tyne after NE21 5GB landed the weekly Millionaire Street prize today.

However, Christina was soon told she had to share her windfall amount with the previous owner of her house - who also happened to play the game with the same postcode.

The owner, who wished to stay anonymous, said they used to live in that postcode - but had moved to a different home years ago.

However, they had a lotto ticked based on their house - and decided to keep it just in case.

A shocked Christina said: "This is surreal, but I'm happy for them too. It is nice to share this with someone else. It makes it unique and a bit of a different story."

Every ticket was worth a whopping £111,111.

How People's Postcode Lottery works

ACCORDING to the official website, players sign up with their postcode and pay £12 per month.

They are automatically entered into every draw and prizes are announced every day of the month.

Tickets play for prizes every day of the week - from Monday to Sunday, a ticket could win £1,000 each day in the Daily Prize.

Tickets could also win a jackpot of £30,000 in Saturday and Sunday's Street Prize draws.

People's Postcode Lottery also offer a £3 Million Postcode Millions draw each month - and your ticket plays for a share of a £3 Million cash prize fund.

Winners are notified by email, SMS message, mail or phone call depending on the prize they win.

Jackpot winners are visited by the lottery team in person.

Christina and Nissan car plant worker Matthew are now planning a summer break with their eight-year-old son and daughter, aged seven.

And the couple want to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in style later this year.

She said: "I'd have been happy with £10,000 and we'd go on holiday. We're married 10 years in October and not got anything planned. That might change now.

"I don't know how to put this into words. It's a lot more than I ever thought I'd get."

It comes after a lotto winner revealed how she was left convinced she'd lost out on a £160,000 jackpot after a direct debit mix-up.

Laura, from Ringland in Norwich, received the good news from her pal Sophie.

This comes after another winner also thought they'd missed out on the huge cash prize.

Yu from Dartford, Kent won £250,000 but brushed initially it off as an Amazon voucher.

Meanwhile, a lotto jackpot winner scooped a jaw-dropping £100,000 - and so did all her neighbours thanks to a £12 raffle.

Anne, from Heald Green, Greater Manchester, believes she lives on the luckiest street in the UK after landing the life-changing windfall.

In March this year, another Postcode Lottery winner revealed that while she had won a £145,000 jackpot her dad only got £2,000 after a "strange" week.

It comes as a couple who won £100,000 on the People's Postcode Lottery were just days away from a decision that would have left them with nothing.
