The chocolate is a twist on Kinder's normal milk chocolate Santa figure with a white chocolate lining.

While this is an entirely new flavour for Kinder, multiple people have compared it to blonde chocolate due to the subtlety of its caramel flavouring.

The combination of this and the classically smooth Kinder chocolate has made the new flavour a rapid fan favourite.

A shopper on said: "Wow, this is stunning. Almost tastes like blonde chocolate with hints of Kinder chocolate, absolutely stunning!"

Fans do though seem slightly confused about the timing of its release.

Multiple people online commented to suggest August was too early for Christmas chocolate to be released.

One shopper replied to the post: "I have no problem with the chocolate, but it's August... Christmas chocolate in August?!"

Another simply said: "Christmas chocolate? It's August"

However, Kinder are not the only company to be releasing their Christmas chocolates already.

Mini Maltesers Reindeers can also be found at Asda after being spotted on the shelves late last month.

Manufactured by Mars, single packs can be bought for 55p each.

Asda are also stocking Cadbury Puds already.

Consisting of a chocolate shell containing a truffle centre, hazelnut pieces and crunchy puffed rice pieces, these can be bought in packs of five for £2.

Cadbury also confirmed their beloved Dairy Milk coins will be back in shops this Christmas after returning last year for the first time since 2014.

However, fans were disappointed to see that the 70g bags had increased from their £1.99 price in 2023 to cost £2.19 this year.

There is a cheaper alternative, however, with Asda's own brand costing £75p for a 75g bag.

How to save money on chocolate

WE all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...

Go own brand - if you're not too fussed on flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for supermarket's own brand bars.

Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
