A LUCKY player DOUBLED their £200,000 Postcode Lottery win by using a clever trick – make sure you don’t miss out.

Jo Deighton from Shoreham, West Sussex, was gobsmacked when she scooped nearly an eye-watering quarter of a million pounds.

A total of £1 million was also shared among three of Jo’s neighbours after her postcode BN43 6JD won the Postcode Lottery weekly Millionaire Street prize.

Each ticket, including Jo’s, was worth £200,000 however one neighbour bagged an extra windfall.

One local player managed to win £400,000 in the life-changing draw after buying two tickets.

And, they’re not the only wise punter to have used this tactic before.

Fellow winner Debbie, from Cardiff, bagged £640,000 instead of £320,000 when her postcode won.

Meanwhile, another fortunate Bristol local scooped £800,000 with his double ticket entry.

But, Jo was still overwhelmed with her own jackpot, which she scooped just hours after a shocking prediction.

Just five eerie words appeared to determine her fate, after her clairvoyant aunt read her coffee grounds at the breakfast table that morning and said: “There’s money in my cup.”

Hours later, Jo was left gobsmacked after receiving a call telling her she’d won at least £1,000.

The overwhelmed mum-of-three said, “My aunt reads coffee cups. The morning I got the phone call from the lottery she read a cup at my mum’s and said, ‘There’s money in my cup’.

“My aunt said that even before I got the call. She tapped the cup and said there was money in it.

“I later found out that I had won at least a grand, so I knew there was some money coming in.”

Jo’s experience is hauntingly similar to that of another player who nearly lost out on a £822,000 win – but entered thanks to a dream premonition.

And, another woman decided to enter a £411,000 winning draw after a “message” randomly came into her head.

“This is beyond life-changing. It is just insane; I can’t believe it,” added Jo.

After discovering their whopping windfall, Jo and husband Tony, quickly began dreaming of how they would splash the cash.

But it appeared they had different ideas.

Mum-of-three Jo wanted to splurge of a VW camper van – while Tony thought it would be more practical to convert an old transit van himself.

However, the happy couple both share the desire to go travelling with their kids – which is now on the cards.

Jo said: “We’ve always wanted a camper van. It is that going away on a whim, being able to have that spontaneity.

“I’d like a classic VW, but I know it’s not a practical choice.

Painter and decorator Tony said: “I’d like to get a Transit and convert it. I’d do it myself.”

Jo added: “We could even take the kids to India. We travelled there lots when we were younger.

“We’ll have a think, but we’ll definitely be doing a big trip. You’ve got to see something of the world to give you some perspective.

“We can do all the sensible stuff and do all the crazy stuff as well.”

She added: “This is beyond life-changing. It is just insane; I can’t believe it.”

‘YOU ARE JOKING’

When the couple first discovered the win, a “super-excited” Jo said she was “absolutely stunned”.

“I don’t know what to say, which is quite unusual for me. Our expectations were so low,” she added.

“We are so grateful. There is a bit of light shining now, which is the most phenomenal thing in the world,” Jo continued.

Meanwhile, Tony exclaimed: “You are joking. Oh my God.”

The painter and decorator is now thinking about taking up carpentry full time instead with their new found financial support.

Jo started playing People’s Postcode Lottery in February after learning the money goes to charities as well.
