Toob app ‘down’ as thousands report issues with broadband provider and blast ‘useless’ internet
One user says they were in the middle of a presentation when the problem struck
THE Toob app is “down” as thousands report issues with the broadband provider and blast the “useless” internet.
Downdetector received more than 3,500 complaints about the service just before 12.25pm today.
The vast majority – 82 per cent – of those were to do with the internet.
Meanwhile, 17 per cent of those reports indicated a “total blackout” with the service.
One person wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Is toob currently down? My Internet stopped working 10mins ago SO15 area.”
In response to that post, another person added: “Yes down in PO13 as well. Toob phone lines also down. Almost weekly issues now.”
A third person said: “SO16 same. It keeps going on and off.”
Someone else posted: “Yeah same! Right in the middle of a presentation!”
Another person wrote on the Downdetector site: “Down again, been down now 3 times in last month and only joined around a month ago.
“Really great for 2 autistic children not to have Internet.”
While one unhappy customer added: “Here we go, down AGAIN.
“It’s impossible to work from home with Toob.
“And their network status page is useless, it says good service in all areas yet half the country is down.”
A Toob spokesperson said: “We experienced a network outage this afternoon that impacted some of our customers.
“Those impacted experienced a loss of service for about 30 minutes and then service was restored.
“We understand how important a reliable internet service is and we sincerely apologise for the obvious inconvenience this has caused.”
