ARE you longing to slip into comfy winter boots?
Instead of footing the bill for a new pair, breathe life into last year’s old favourites.
Here are some tops tips to make sure you are looking well heeled.
GET STUFFED: If your boots have been sitting at the back of your wardrobe, it is time to give them a revamp.
Start by stuffing them with crumpled newspaper to help maintain shape.
The paper will absorb any lingering moisture and help lift out creases around the toe area.

Plus, the paper will naturally absorb any musty odours.
BUFF UP: An old toothbrush can be your best friend for maintenance.
Gently use it to brush away dirt from seams, soles and hard-to-reach areas around the laces.
A soft toothbrush is an ideal tool for removing build-up and dried-on mud without damaging the material.

SPARKLE AND SHINE: Leather boots can dull over time, but a quick polish will soon have them looking like new.
But if you do not have a shoe-polish kit to hand, a chamois leather cloth works wonders for adding shine and removing the last bits of dirt.
Use small, circular motions to buff the boots and give them sparkle.
OIL BE BACK: To keep zips sliding smoothly, apply a small amount of oil or rub a bar of soap on them.
It stops sticking and makes it easier to pull the zip up and down, especially if the boots have been in your wardrobe for a while.
THE HEELING PROCESS: If your heels are worn, consider getting the boots re-heeled.
It’s often a lot cheaper than new boots and a good repairer can also replace the soles.
This is a small repair which can make your favourite boots easier to walk in, ready for another season.
