TERRY'S chocolate fans have been left distraught after discovering a popular version of the orange product has been discontinued.

The brand previously unveiled the flavour way back in 2020 but it seems sweet treat lovers are at a loss of where to find it now.

Terry's previously advertised the White Chocolate Orange on sale for £2 with the item available from Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys and the Co-op.

Social media users also posted pictures of the sharing bags which could be nabbed for just £1.50 for the same flavour.

But now shoppers have turned to online platforms to ask others where the item has gone as they cannot find it on shelves or when ordering shopping directly to their door.

One Facebook user revealed back in October that they were still on the hunt for the white variant.

Another commented on the post suggesting there used to be white chocolate flavoured options but they had also recently struggled to find them.

Someone else wrote: "I bought my children the white one a few years ago, last year when writing to Santa my son asked for the white chocolate oranges (the only thing on the list).

"I thought it would be an easy task but no where sells them anymore!!

"I had to buy them off eBay and have them sent from Poland. I spent about two months, going to every shop possible and ringing one's further away with no success, praying he doesn't ask for them this year."

One person seemed surprised by the news: "What! There is more than orange. Every one in a great while I am forced to admit there are some disadvantages to living in a rural area far from large grocery stores.

A fifth put: "The white one is amazing!!!"

The flavour seems to have disappeared fully with a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing: "am actually very upset that they've got rid of the terry's white chocolate orange segments in the christmas pouches."

Retail websites have also removed the chocolate from listings or advertised them as out of stock.

Terry's currently have a host of options for those wanting to try something a little different during the festive period.

From the classic chocolate orange milk ball, they have also produced spin-offs including mint, milk and dark chocolate.

While they have also released mint crisp minis, advent calendars, chocolate bombes, sharing bags, bars, truffles and more.

A spokesperson for Terry's chocolate said: "Terry’s has been creating delicious treats since 1823 and we’re proud of how popular our range has become at Christmas.

"We’re continuing to evolve our Chocolate Ball range in line with changing consumer preferences, having recently also added both mint and plain milk chocolate variants.

"This means it won’t be a white Christmas as our White Chocolate Orange Ball is no longer available.

"We hope this changes in the future but for now we have lots of options for people to try including our Exploding Candy or Toffee Crunch Balls, so there’s still plenty to have a very Terry Christmas."

The Sun has approached Carambar & Co for comment.
