Sainsbury’s shoppers get ready for a MASSIVE Nectar point bonus
The supermarket’s BIGGEST points promotion to date means shoppers can earn 10 points for every £1 they spend in stores and online
SAINSBURY’S shoppers can earn TEN times the normal amount of Nectar points over the next Bank Holiday weekend.
The promotion will run in stores nationwide from April 28 until May 1, including Bank Holiday Monday.
At present, shoppers can collect one Nectar point per £1 spent at Sainsbury’s in-store and online.
But for one weekend only, shoppers will get 10 points per £1 spent.
When redeemed in store at Sainsbury’s, each Nectar point is worth 0.5p - so 1,000 points equates to £5.
You can collect points on fuel spends but not on stamps, car park tickets, cash back, gift vouchers, lottery tickets, scratch cards, medicines or baby milk.

Shoppers can swap their points for double the value and sometimes triple the value through the Nectar website.
In 2015, the supermarket upset shoppers when it slashed the amount of Nectar points shoppers could earn per £1 spend from 2 points to 1.
Earlier this week, Sainsbury’s upset shoppers by changing some self-service checkouts to card-only machines.
The supermarket has rolled out the new technology at a number of stores across the country.
The new card-only checkouts are supposed to make it easier and quicker for shoppers.
But customers have complained that they can no longer buy weighed items or use their own bags, forcing them to lug shopping to an alternative checkout or till.
